A memory, a search, an idea: Akronos.
Akronos is our joint artist's signature. We are Angela Longares and Anita Mollo.
We have been carrying out an artistic experiment in Florence since 1982, working with four hands, without holding to separate identities.
We have produced a variety of art form, ranging from installations, polychrome sculptures, scriptural paintings and art books.

The sculptures, part of our own collection, are in polychrome terracotta, handmade.
On the surface, the overlapping of heterogeneous elements, fixed by the flame, determines the color, covering a constructive-ancestral process, which is the most ancient way of making ceramics.
Of the ceramic, eliminated the link with the use, we exalt the fragility and together the resistance, the endurance over time and above all its qualifying value of perennial transversality, as transversal is our feminine culture.

With a blocking, material and chromatic yell we try to recover a stratification through which it is possible to read mental and real times and spaces, and to emphasize the fantastic moment.
The suggestion of the primary recovers the myth of ancient Mediterranean civilizations and is what remains as a trace in the signs and symbols of our sculptures.
Our works represent a universe built and deliberately suspended between the archaic dream and the memory of the future.
