Villa Filanda Antonini (VFA) Announces VFA Open Call 2024 for Artist Residency supported by Culture Moves Europe.

Lancenigo, Italy - April 2, 2024 - Villa Filanda Antonini is excited to announce the VFA Open Call 2024, offering a unique opportunity for European artists to immerse themselves in a multidisciplinary artist residency experience at the striking setting of the Ex-Filanda di Lancenigo. This initiative is supported by the not-for-profit Arper Feltrin Foundation and funded entirely by the Culture Moves Europe program, an initiative promoted by the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut.

The VFA Open Call 2024 aims to select 1-2 European artists to reside in the villa during the coming fall. The residencies, lasting two months each, will offer artists the opportunity to explore and experiment through the languages of contemporary art, with a particular focus on creating site-responsive projects that actively engage the local community.

Deadline: Sunday, April 21, 2024, 11:59 PM (CET).
Organizers: Culture Moves Europe & Villa Filanda Antonini.

Who it's for: European artists not residing in Italy.
When/duration: 70 consecutive days, from September 12 to November 23, 2024.
Funding: The artistic residency is fully funded and supported by European Union funds.
Winner announcement: Starting Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
